The story

About this painting

Two red-timbered lodges rest quietly in deep snow beneath the immense presence of a white mountain. Long blue shadows cross the untouched surface, while the deep blue sky opens above the peaks. The scene feels sheltered and peaceful — a small human presence held within the vastness of winter.

The artist

Lorenzo Manaigo

I paint the places that have marked me — above all, the mountains of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

I am French, my father was Ampezzano, and Cortina is part of who I am. Each painting is an invitation to pause for a moment and enter the landscape.
